Description
The name of this ring goes back to the historic city of Samarqand was the capital of the world’s cultures. Founded in the 7th century B.C. as ancient Afrasiab. The pattern emerged into the design is called Shamseh; In Classical Persian art, a shamseh is an intricately decorated medallion which is used in manuscripts, carpets, ornamental metalwork and architectural decoration such as the underside of domes.
